I figure I'll just name all my "untitled" posts with the date of the post. At least it makes sense. Anyway, I did a Photoshop painting that I thought I'd share here: I usually use lines in my illustrations but I tried just using sections of color in this one. I thought it turned out rather interesting. The texture of the girl's hair doesn't really fit with the rest (I decided to use lots of different-colored layered lines for it) but I rather like how it looks. I'll try it out some more in future digi-illustrations when I do characters' hair. It definitely requires more time than just drawing the shape of the hairdo and filling the whole thing with a single color, but the texture's pretty cool and looks a bit more realistic than how I normally do it.
